TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade - What It Is

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

His background tells you something. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for beginners.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.

Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Here is the part that matters. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you deposit.
