Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker this new, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.

FIX API is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should be part of your decision.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
